A Second Straight Hold, and What Waiting Actually Costs

Rates held again this month. Second pause in a row, which is starting to look less like a breather and more like an actual plateau.

The market didn't wait around to find out which it is. Auctions stayed full. My property manager tells me applications per listing haven't dropped at all since the peak of last year.

There's a cost to waiting that doesn't show up on a bank statement. Every month I've spent debating whether to make a move, prices kept climbing regardless of my indecision. Doesn't mean the decision to wait was wrong, plenty of good reasons to be cautious right now. Just means caution isn't free, and it's worth being honest with yourself about what it's actually costing.
